BCAP Launches solution suite

BCAP has invested significant resources to bring our Partners the BCAP Solution Suites - a series of  environments, each involving a virtual suite of preconfigured servers and software for testing purposes. The Solution Suite is intended to allow comprehensive proof-of concept testing of Double-Take solutions which would not otherwise be possible in a live environment.

Our rationale:

Many replication solutions are achievable and quite complimentary to each other. Therefore, one might achieve “Disaster Recovery” and “Centralized Backup” with the same exact configuration and components. Other solution combinations may take more advanced expertise to combine and test - that's why we've spent time to deliver a solution that allows our Partners a much broader solution that allows safe examination and testing of the Double-Take products that BCAP has on offer.

Technical Overview

The Solution Suite has multiple environments setup and ready for testing and viewing, some of the solutions on offer for testing are:

• Double Take Application Manager – For both SQL and Exchange
• Double Take Full Server Failover
• Double Take Reporting Centre
• Double Take Protection of Red Hat Linux
• Time Data protection for SQL and Exchange
• Double Take Centralized backup and server protection using Livewire
• Double Take Geocluster and Geocluster+ for Cluster Resources
• Double Take Geocluster and Geocluster+ for Cluster Redundancy

The solution suite in itself is technically unique - we have taken into consideration that many of the modern business are using disaster recovery site as a way to protect their business. For that reason the environment includes separate network segments  to help demonstrate the effectiveness of the Double Take Products across segmented networks, limiting your DR concerns across the WAN.
